Data Deletion

Last updated: 1 March 2026

ReRooted allows you to permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains what data we store, how to delete it, and what happens when you do.

1. What Data ReRooted Stores

We store only the minimum data necessary to provide our visa application tracking service. This includes your account information (email, name), application tracking data (milestones, requirement statuses, structured prompt responses), and subscription details. For a full breakdown, see our Privacy Policy.

If you signed in with Facebook, we also store the OAuth tokens and profile information (email, name, profile image) that Facebook shared with us during sign-in.

2. How to Delete Your Account

To permanently delete your account and all associated data, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your ReRooted account.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
  4. Click Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.

3. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is immediately and permanently removed:

  • Your account profile (email, name, password hash, profile image)
  • All active sessions
  • All linked OAuth accounts (Google, Facebook) and associated tokens
  • All visa applications and their settings
  • All requirement progress records
  • All structured prompt responses
  • Your subscription record (if applicable)

Deletion is performed via cascade deletion, meaning all data associated with your account is purged in a single operation. There is no grace period or recovery option.

4. Facebook Login Users

If you signed in using Facebook Login, deleting your ReRooted account also removes all data that Facebook shared with us, including your Facebook user ID, email address, name, profile image, and OAuth tokens. After deletion, ReRooted retains no connection to your Facebook account.

To also remove ReRooted from your Facebook account's list of connected apps, visit your Facebook App Settings and remove ReRooted from there.

5. Cannot Access Your Account?

If you are unable to sign in and need to request data deletion, please contact us through our support channels. We will verify your identity and process the deletion on your behalf.

For more information about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
