Common questions
Visa quiz — common questions.
- What is the ReRooted visa quiz?
- It is a short, free questionnaire that asks about your situation — your country, your relationship to Australia or the US, and your circumstances — and then points you to the visa types worth organising your application around. It is an orientation tool, not an eligibility assessment or legal advice.
- Is the visa quiz free?
- Yes. The quiz is completely free and you do not need an account to take it. At the end you can start a free ReRooted checklist for the visa it surfaces, but taking the quiz costs nothing.
- Which visas does the expat quiz cover?
- The quiz currently covers Australian partner visas (onshore 820/801 and offshore 309/100), the Australian skilled visas (subclass 189, 190, and 491), the student subclass 500, and the US family-based green card (Form I-130). More countries and visa types are being added.
- Does the quiz tell me if I am eligible for a visa?
- No. The quiz suggests which visas fit your situation so you know what to organise around — it does not assess eligibility or guarantee any outcome. For an eligibility opinion, check the Department of Home Affairs or USCIS, or speak to a registered migration agent or licensed immigration attorney.
